Weekend Snippet x8

Hi lovelies! Hope you are all doing well. I for one, was not feeling well this weekend. But I did manage to pull myself together on Saturday and attend the monthly Treasure Island Flea Market! I have been waiting for so long to go to this! The clinic I work at is open on weekends too, so it has been difficult trying to go so when I found an open weekend, I knew I couldn’t let my sickness keep me from going! I paid for it the next day of course but, I was able to get a few good shoots to share with you all! If you live in the Bay Area, I highly recommend attending, at least once, so you can see what it’s all about! There’s parking there, so for those who get anxiety driving (especially by the city), have no fear, parking is right there – and it’s free. There is an entry fee though, so be sure to bring $3 CASH with you. Cash is helpful in the market too. A lot of vendors have card readers but some don’t so I definitely wish I brought cash and encourage you to as well! The shops ranged from thrifted/vintage clothing and furniture, to handmade jewelry, lots of homemade soaps, skincare, and snacks! Seriously, I wanted to buy something from every booth – it was so dangerous. Luckily, a lot of the vendors come back every month, so that’s cool – no need to break the bank all in one day. There’s drinks and food there as well – in case you get hungry – because you will. It took a lot out of me to not get myself a Bloody Mary, but I knew it wouldn’t sit well in my stomach since I already wasn’t feeling well. And if that doesn’t sell you on the worth of this flea market, well this will – there were plenty of dogs walking around with their hoomans. Cute shops, good food, and dogs – what’s not to LOVE?! My bf and I wanted to bring his little dog, but she gets really anxious in big crowds so we figured best not to. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this little snippet of (pretty much) the only time I left my house this weekend. (●´ω`●)

Hanami ❀

Processed with VSCO with f2 presetHello lovelies! I’ve finally found some time to edit all of the photos I took when I attended the celebration of Hanami (“flower viewing”) aka the Cherry Blossom Festival in San Francisco several weeks ago. There was quite a few so I loafed around…but better late than never, right? The festival itself was so fun! They closed down several blocks to provide for many different cultural and fun booths. It has been so long since I last attended a Cherry Blossom festival, I see a lot of new booths. They even had an Akita and Shiba Inu booth! My personal favorites.

Below is what I wore there. It probably doesn’t look like it, but it was extremely hot that day. – Which was not my favorite. But I stuck through it, and enjoyed the festival very much. Please enjoy these photos I took of some of my favorite things there!Processed with VSCO with f2 presetDetails – crop top: Forever21 | skirt: Forever 21 | bag: Banana Republic | shoes: Converse | watch: Daniel Wellington | necklace: Forever 21, Etsy.Processed with VSCO with hb2 presetIn the past, I’ve never had the patience to practice origami, but I’ve always thought they make beautiful decorations, especially when they’re hung. ♡ Version 2The Akita stand – IT’S SO FLUFFY, I’M GONNA DIE!!!

We also saw tons of air plants, terrariums, bamboo plants and bonsais there as well! I’m not sure if it’s because I’m an earth sign, or if that has anything to do with it at all, but I’ve always loved greens. I don’t make a good plant mom…but I adore embracing Mother Natures gifts to the world. (✿◠‿◠)Processed with VSCO with hb2 presetProcessed with VSCO with hb2 preset
(I realized after taking these that they didn’t allow photos….oopsie! Hehehe!)

A long time obsession of mine…CANDLES. I fell in love with these soy candles are from RX Candles. I couldn’t say no! They had a great deal going on – You got to pick 1 large and 2 small candles for $25! They’re available at their own website, as well as Amazon. They have a wide range of scents that are perfect for Spring and Summer! They smell like a tropical paradise. They are beautiful and unique. The one’s I got were: Fresh Fig, Bora bora, and Plumeria.Processed with VSCO with hb2 presetProcessed with VSCO with hb2 presetSome pretty soaps from the Mai Do store in JapanTown. ♡Processed with VSCO with hb2 presetSome homemade bows. ♡ OF COURSE I BOUGHT A SAILOR MOON ONE. If you know me at all, you know that I adore Sailor Moon. Not only because, why not? But because it was the very first anime I ever watched. For the longest time during my childhood I would go by the name Luna, like the cat. It will always hold a special place in my heart.IMG_1300(Above – Me – In my natural habitat – the manga section)Processed with VSCO with hb2 presetProcessed with VSCO with f2 presetProcessed with VSCO with hb2 presetYasssssss! I’m so glad I caught a glimpse of it! ♡ We didn’t order anything from there because to be truthful, it was hot and all we wanted was ice cold water. But it was cute from afar!

I hope you enjoyed this post about my well-spent day at the Cherry Blossom Festival! I can’t wait to see what next year is like. Until next time ~じゃあね!
