A Berry Comfy Valentine’s Day

Happy Valentine’s Day my sweet and lovely readers! I hope you are all doing well. Whether or not you have plans today with your boyfriend, girlfriend, lover, spouse, or friend, remember this: the most important relationship you have is with yourself. For this day, it’s easy to gets all wrapped up in booking reservations at fancy restaurants and spending their entire pay checks on material items for their Valentine. After all, it is advertised everywhere, and if you’re all for that, that’s fine. It’s nice to do something special for those who are special to you, but lets not forget about the one person it comes down to at the end of the day: you! Like Leo Buscaglia said,“To love others, you must first love yourself.” This Valentine’s day, remember to pat yourself on the back for getting out of bed, for holding everything, and for continuing on another day. We should all do this more often.

Anyway, today I have for you a simple look. I don’t have any plans this Valentine’s day, my boyfriend and I were so caught up in Christmas, and other things that it totally creeped up on us, but here is the look I would wear. I’m not really into the bright reds; I prefer deeper shades, so I thought that this cranberry colored corduroy skirt would work nicely for the holiday. I styled it with a laid back, stripped/textured sweater and tights and thigh highs (I wore both because it’s still slightly chilly in the Bay Area). It’s nothing super over the top. Of course, if you were going somewhere fancy, you would want to dress for the occasion. But I’m all about cute but comfortable (◡‿◡✿), and this is just a simple look!

*Outfit details will be listed on the bottom*This beautiful cat walked down the street to greet us, and stayed the entire time while we took photos! She was so friendly, I couldn’t believe it! Of course I had to take a picture with her too. img_0272img_0274Details: Sweater: Thrifted | Skirt: eBay | Tights: Target | High socks: Urban Outfitters | Booties: H&M | Watch: Daniel Wellington
